free, open source win32 syslog daemon KLog 1.2 KLog is a free, open source Win32 implementation of *nix syslog daemon to support remote logging of message from syslog-enabled unix servers, routers and other networked devices and applications. It can optionally produce audible alerts on certain events and can stay in background, taking up a 256 pixels of screen nicely packed as a 16x16 square in your notification tray area.

Full of features and useful utilities. I downloaded the software for the syslog feature which it does very well. I didn't expect to find a whole host of other useful utilities. Makes a great network diagnostic tool and if your devices support SNMP then there's lots of support in the PacketTrap software. The user interface is easy to use and well designed.

Really only wanted it for the syslog server. It has a really basic config but it worked. Its filtering is basic and only inclusion, I wanted to exclude one or more items. The free version of Kiwi Syslog Server appears better for my needs but doesn\'t filter at all which is why I was looking at this product. Although I have \"show hostname\" configured it doesn\'t show it it only says that it was detected (so what!). Error messages are really annoying with full screen popups and are of the minimal information type (giving you a vague clue ...
